Meet

Jessica Hannah

Jessica’s career has followed one consistent question: How can we make things better? Social work taught her to understand people’s challenges. Public administration taught her how systems can work better. Community leadership has taught her what is possible when people come together.

A proud Longhorn and UT alumna, Jessica began her career in social work, working directly with individuals and families and seeing firsthand how systems affect real lives. She later earned her Master of Public Administration to better understand how those systems can be improved. Her career in non-profit leadership & community engagement has centered on bringing people together and turning ideas into impact.

Jessica currently serves on the Converse City Council – Place 4, bringing a resident-first perspective to local government. For every decision, she asks three simple questions: Does this improve quality of life? Does it strengthen Converse for the future? And are we being responsible with public resources?

Jessica is proud to call Converse home and believes some of the best parts of a community are found in the connections we make—with our neighbors, local businesses, and one another. She enjoys supporting small businesses and being involved in the community. Outside of public service, Jessica is a devoted dog mom, a proud Longhorn, and a lover of the Texas sun. She’s also an identical twin so if you see someone who looks just like her around town, there’s a chance you’ve found her sister.

I’m Running

I’m running to help build a stronger, more connected Converse where people feel heard, families feel supported, businesses can thrive, and we work together to shape a future that reflects the community we call home.

These questions guide how I listen, lead, and make decisions:

  1. How does this impact our community?Does this move Converse forward while considering the people who call it home?
  2. Have we listened?Have residents, businesses, and community voices had an opportunity to be heard and considered?
  3. Are we thinking about tomorrow?Is this a responsible decision that prepares Converse for the future, not just today?
